Sle-Co Plastics is a  a Tier II automotive parts supplier serving OEM markets for both interior and exterior molded components and assemblies. We are currently seeking a Tool & Die Maker to join our growing team.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must have grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
  • Must possess Tool and Die Certificate of Qualification
  • Minimum two years of experience as an Industrial Journeyman.

DUTIES:
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications of tools, dies, prototypes or models.
  • Builds, services, maintains, repairs, installs and tests new or existing equipment or tooling, and verifies conformance to specifications.
  • Troubleshooting of process problems and completes quality improvements as required to maintain part standards of quality.
  • Prepare templates and sketches, and determine work processes.
  • Compute dimensions and tolerances and set up machine tools.
  • Test completed tools, dies, jigs or fixtures for proper operation.
  • Fit and assemble or disassemble parts using hand tools
  • Complete preventative maintenance on equipment and keep maintenance records to identify weakness in design.
  • Carries out preventative maintenance procedures as laid out by the manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Perform other duties as required.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Plastic Injection Manufacturing Environments
  • Day shift
  • Able to be flexible in hours of work in order to meet internal/external customer requirements (scheduled and non-scheduled overtime shifts, etc.)
