SCHOOL SUPPORT COUNSELLOR – TEMPORARY POSITION
POSITION SUMMARY: The School Support Counsellor will provide school-based prevention and intervention services in elementary or secondary schools to address social/emotional and behavioural barriers to learning. Incumbents will be assigned to a caseload at the elementary, secondary, or alternative school level.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE: Four-year university degree in social work, child studies or psychology. A minimum of one year experience providing counselling services to children or adolescents, and families.
RATE OF PAY: $36.17 per hour plus 4% vacation pay
START DATE: As soon as possible (Temporary position ending no later than 2020 June 29)
