Final Assembly Area Leader
Job Specifications:
· Ensure original job responsibilities are met (current description)
· Plan, organize production requirements
· Ensure all Quality, Safety and production targets are met
· Directly liaise with Customer(s) ensuring 100% Customer satisfaction, volumes, quality, etc.
· Continuously train/educate team members (empowerment)
· Develop department budget and ensure compliance to budget
· Complete performance reviews and develop objectives for team annually as well as perform monthly follow up meetings with the team.
· Ensure Process/Engineering changes are implemented effectively. Ensure 100% compliance to Engineering change process.
· Measure and report on department headcount, weekly.
· Lead a salaried team consisting of 1 Quality Engineer, 1 Logistics Planner, 1 Industrial Engineer and 6 Supervisors.
· Indirectly lead a team of approximately 100 people on a 3 shift basis
· Liaise with Corporate support groups and take on leadership role both internally and externally with regards to establishing a strong working relationship.
Job Qualifications:
· Completion of College Diploma or University Degree specializing in Mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering or Business Administration
· Minimum 5 years experience in automotive field in a leadership role.
· Perfect attendance record with no performance issues and the ability to work FLEXIBLE hours as required.
· Excellent interpersonal communication (written/verbal), organization skills, enthusiastic and self motivated.
· Very strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), SAP and presentation skills are required for this position
· Must be able to demonstrate effective time management skills
