Job Description

On behalf of our client Renaissance Personnel is recruiting for a Production Supervisor in the Chatham Kent area.
 
Responsibilities:
 
·         Ensure compliance with the with the Occupational Health & Safety Act Regulations including weekly safety talks, workplace        inspections and submit all incident/accident investigations to JHSC
·         Conduct thorough Orientation of all new employees related to production and complete performance evaluations.
·         Facilitate the implementation of engineering design changes
·         Troubleshoot and problem solve production related problems
·         Produce a daily production and scrap report
·         Monitor and record all employee conduct concerns and resolve employee issues as they arise including personality conflicts and follow progressive discipline steps as needed
·         Ensure that we work in compliance with the collective agreement
·         Approve daily attendance and weekly overtime
·         Conduct daily audits of the work cells for quality and pack issues
·         Ensure 5S compliance
·         Other duties assigned from time to time
 
 Working Conditions:

The Production Supervisor’s function is performed in the office and plant environments; therefore, a moderate amount of physical effort is required. This may involve assisting the production, in addition, a portion of time may be spent in a sitting position at a personal computer terminal.  At times the workload can be heavy and fact paced.  Overtime may be required at times.
 
Requirements:

·          Grade 12 Diploma
·           3  years of related experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
·          Excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to effectively communicate with employees and customers
·          The ability to read and interpret automotive drawings and specifications
·          Strong problem solving and organizational skills
·          Practical knowledge of foam processes and practices related to design, procurement, production and utilization of mould     technology in urethane manufacturing is desire
·          Computer skills
