The Faculty of Education is entering the third year of professional programs offerings, in which there are approximately 250 students enrolled in 9 professional master's programs. Accountable to the Associate Dean (Graduate Programs), the MPEd Coordinator is responsible for the management, sustainability, and growth of the programs. As a staff leader in the Faculty, the MPEd Coordinator works in collaboration with instructional, administrative, and technology staff as well as faculty members and other stakeholders to ensure that the MPEd programs are delivered efficiently and effectively. Ensuring integrity in the implementation of the conceptual and pedagogical framework of the program, as well as the communication of all policies and procedures, will be important functions of this role. The coordinator will also ensure that the continuous improvement and sustainable expansion of the master's programs will be governed by required approvals, sound research, and regular and thorough program evaluation-based evidence. In collaboration with faculty members associated with the leadership group, the MPEd Coordinator may initiate independent and/or collaborative research on the MPEd program for its continued improvement. 

Qualifications 

Education:

-   Must possess a Master's degree in the area of Education
-   PhD or EdD in the area of Education would be preferred

Experience:
-   At least 5 years' work experience in a higher education setting
-   At least 5 years' of experience in the area of project management, program planning and coordination, instructional design and support, education technology, and/or student services within a higher education setting would be an asset

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
-   Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to analyze, synthesize, and complete detailed analytics and reports and confidence dealing with all levels of an organization
-   Demonstrated ability to apply creativity, innovation, and resourcefulness to daily work
-   Ability to understand student needs and expectations, and provide excellent service to satisfy expectations
-   Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize with an eye to consistently producing high-quality work and meeting deadlines in a demanding environment
-   High degree of professionalism with outstanding ability to work effectively and efficiently with internal and external clients at all levels of management
-   Self-driven, independent thinker who is highly motivated and possesses an intrinsic passion for quality
-   Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet tight deadlines and adapt to growth and change
-   Possesses a reputation for resourcefulness with a strong sense of accountability and initiative
-   Judgment, analytical and problem solving skills with a consultative and collaborative approach to addressing issues and opportunities
-   Results-oriented with an ability to handle many tasks and maintain a high level of performance
-   Ability to plan and manage events of various sizes
-   Ability to establish and build healthy working relationships and partnerships with students, faculty, staff and external stakeholders
-   Familiarity with best practices, technologies, and trends in online education at the doctoral graduate level
-   Able to develop research plans, submit ethics proposals, conduct a research project, collect research data, and present research findings on the EdD program, its components, and its affiliated stakeholders
