Job Description

Located at Seacliff Manor Retirement Residence in Leamington, the General Manager is responsible for the overall organization, leadership, planning, management and direction of all aspects of the daily operations of Seacliff Manor , while developing pride and excellence in service to residents.

Responsibilities Include:

• Effective leadership, administration and management of the human, physical and financial resources. Development and maintenance of marketing strategies, operational planning and financial budgets.
• Management of the Residence in accordance with all government and regulatory requirements, and the high standards of Seacliff Manor. Ensure policies and programs provide appropriate levels of service and comfort for Residents. 
• Provide leadership, motivation, development and support during and after the recruitment of all departmental team managers and team members.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Possess post- secondary school degree/ diploma in a complementary field, augmented by the ORCA management certificate or equivalent. 
• 5 years or more experience at a senior management level within the retirement sector, with proven success in the management of all staffing levels, developing and maintaining positive workplace practices, monitoring operational controls, managing marketing, budgeting and purchasing activities and delivering consistently high quality seniors’ care services. Knowledge of trends in retirement fields. Working knowledge of all relevant legislation. 
• Committed to the holistic wellness and hospitality approach in the emerging seniors aggregate care market. Proven experience developing positive relationships with professionals, local organizations and the community.
• Strong organization and problem-solving skills, initiative, judgment, communication and interpersonal skills, leadership abilities and computer skills.
