Position
The individual hired for this position brings a broad technical skill set. The ideal candidate has an Electrical/Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering Degree coupled with 1-5 years of experience focused on electrical systems development and industrial design.
 
Essential Job Functions
  • Design creative enclosures for small electronic radio frequency devices
  • Design advanced electronic control systems
  • Create mechanical design documents and drawings for parts, assemblies or finished products
  • Ability to model mechatronic design solutions in 3D
  • Identify and work with outside manufacturing vendors
  • Create embedded software programs
  • Implement or test design solutions
  • Identify and select materials appropriate for mechatronic system design
  • Design advanced precision equipment for accurate or controlled applications
 
Skills, Abilities & Qualifications
 
  • Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics degree/diploma
  • 1-5 years related work experience
  • Electronic design and debug experience
  • CAD experience in SolidWorks, Inventor or similar 3D design suite
  • Software programming experience
  • Innovative problem solver
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work directly with customer, be versatile and self-reliant
