ARMO TOOL LTD.
 
An expanding London manufacturer of Precision Tooling, Dies and Special Machines has an IMMEDIATE opening for a full-time permanent Controls Technician.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Program, troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial equipment and automation including PLCs, HMI, frequency drives, temperature control and other related devices.
  • Perform preventive repair and maintenance of field, plant, and shop electronic and electrical systems, devices, equipment and components
  • Design and modify circuits, read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams and schematics
  • Prepare schedules and coordinate activities with other departments
  • Ensure accurate and appropriate completion of all preventive maintenance duties
  • Must be able to travel
  • Order the required electrical components
  • Customer technical support
  • Create manuals
 
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
 
  • Degree/diploma in Controls, Instrumentation or Electrical Engineering
  • Electrical Technician certification from an accredited institution
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience developing complex customer or product logic solutions
  • Must have experience in PLC and HMI programming
  • Rockwell RSLogix 5000 and FactoryTalk an asset
  • Siemens TIA Portal and/or Step 7 and WinCC Flexible experience an asset
  • Omron or other PLC additional experience preferred
