CONSTRUCTION SHOP & YARD FOREMAN
Henry Heyink Construction Ltd., Chatham, is seeking an organized and self-motivated individual to oversee and participate in maintenance of our fleet and to supervise activities within our construction yard.
The ideal candidate will have Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic Certification and relevant industry experience. This job requires strong leadership skills coupled with exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Main duties include:
• Scheduling and performing maintenance and repair of heavy construction equipment, vehicle fleet, and other construction related equipment
• Respond to job-site equipment repairs in a timely manner
• Supervision of construction yard & co-ordinate deliveries v Supervise and schedule work for mechanic and apprentice mechanic on staff
• Fleet acquisition and disposal recommendations
This is a permanent, full-time position starting August 1, 2006. Remuneration to be negotiated based on experience, with full benefits package plus for the ideal candidate.
