Job Description
We are a supplier of automotive parts serving OEM markets for both interior and exterior molded components and assemblies. Our Company also takes the same pride in the manufacturing of non-automotive commercial products as well. We are looking for a Cost Accountant to join our expanding team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review and assist in all financial activities of the business unit operation.
Assist in reviewing all quoting activity for respective Business Unit/Customer, where required and requested.
Take the lead in creating ROI packages for review by the Operations Manager and President
Assist Managers on all financial matters.
Review all negotiated terms on Purchased Tooling and Capital, reporting back to President for cash flow management.
Understand complexities of automotive PPAP submissions from a financial impact perspective, especially as it relates to customers.
Create financial spreadsheet for analyses and evaluations
Review all Cost Sheets prior to submission to customer or Management.
Help in evaluating and manage Cost Packages, ensuring that product is performing above minimum gross margin.
Attend meetings related to any financial impact to the company.
Will take daily direction from Managers in all Departments.
Must be able to work within a Team atmosphere, conducting themselves professionally, and managing his/her time appropriately.
Must have ability to simultaneously work with engineering, senior management and financial personnel.
Analyze daily processes and monitor their efficiency
Experience within a face paced automotive facility
SKILLS/EDUCATION:
CGA/CMA preferred
University or College Degree in either business, or finance
Knowledge of traditional financial models, terms, metrics
Expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint software
