This expansion has necessitated the search for an Embedded Software Engineer. In this position as Embedded Software Engineer, you will contribute to the innovation of new concepts, designs, and novel new products, which may include the use of new and improved processes and operational techniques. You will assist Purchasing in supplier selection and development and participate with Marketing and Sales in the identification of new product opportunities; providing guidance as to their technical and economic feasibility.
In this Senior role, you will plan, develop and validate embedded Software code, support project in compliance to SPICE level 3, develop suitable validation and test methods for embedded electronics modules and design evaluation of electronics, develop breadboard or first run proto type circuits for product feasibility evaluation, apply suitable engineering tools for the design analysis of electrical and electronic circuits, and coordinate with applications engineering to handoff new products for production. You will also establish and maintain adequate records of technical information, process methods & standards, design and program details/information, and records to support and procure reliable patent actions.
Job Requirements
•University degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related Engineering discipline
•Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in embedded software for Automotive
•Experience with SW validation- Static Analysis: QAC, MathWorks or similar
•Experience with CMMI
•Experience with ISO15504 (SPICE)
•Proven track record in Project Management Experience
•Experience with CAD (Cadence, Altium and/or Mentor suite experience an asset)
•Strong electrical design background or electrical/electronic knowledge |
