Job Description
Our client is a food manufacturer located in the Chatham Kent area is in search of a Warehouse Manager to join their team on a fulltime basis.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
•Plan, direct, organize warehouse receiving and storage operations for finished goods and raw materials to deliver corporate operational and financial goals and meet customer expectations.
•Manage the inventory for all materials to ensure accurate inventory and compliance to corporate and regulatory policy.
•Manage direct reports to meet internal and external customer expectations
•Submit for approval Capital Appropriation Requests to improve operations for areas of responsibility
•Manage financial budgets for all areas of responsibility
•Establish and monitor daily operating reports that capture the performance against the overall goals of the company
•Ensure compliance to applicable Quality Industry standards relating to SQF, GMP, Allergen, HACCP, QRMP and any other related Quality management systems as determined by the Company. In the event of the Manager’s absence, the immediate Supervisor(s) will delegate the Food Safety responsibilities as required.
•Lead & oversee the development, implementation, and on-going maintenance of the SQF system as outlined in Management Responsibility
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/COMPETENCIES
•Post-secondary school education with minimum 5 years of supply chain/logistics experience
•Knowledge of budgets and budgeting process
•Working knowledge of MRP/WMS/RF technology and application
•Strong analytical skill and strategic thinking capabilities to develop solutions to complex problems
•Knowledge of rules and regulations governing Federal and Provincial trucking in Canada and the USA
•Knowledge of laws from various regulatory agencies and corporate policy regarding the operation of a
food distribution center
•3-5 years’ direct supervisory experience
•3-5 years’ experience managing and executing capital projects within a large facility.
•Previous experience in a food processing industry an asset.
•Previous experience working with a collective bargaining workforce is an asset.
•Previous experience working within a CFIA inspected facility an asset
•Knowledge of HACCP and Provincial Health and Safety Regulations would be an asset
