We are hiring a Product Compliance Coordinator in our St. Thomas, ON location!

 

The Product Compliance Coordinator is responsible for ensuring all existing and new models which require certification are listed with the appropriate certifiers or regulatory agencies. You will work closely with the engineering department and Product Managers to ensure changes to existing models and additions of new models have the vital testing, documentation, and approvals for certification in the Markets supported by Masco Canada. You will also assist in the creation and maintenance of product compliance listings for all manufactured and purchased certified products sold by Masco Canada.

What You Will Do:

  • Promoting a culture of compliance

  • Review of new products or product modifications with engineering (PCPR)

  • Establish a test plan to follow the latest edition of the standards

  • Discuss test plan with 3rd party certifiers and acquire agreement for product approval

  • Assures test reports are complete for listing purposes

  • Build and maintain PMI’s (Product Material Information spreadsheets)

  • Writes submission reports to 3rd party certifiers to list new products

  • Review PPAPs for compliance impact

  • Write submission reports to update listing of modified products currently listed

  • Combine projects to limit listing costs

  • Coordinate with 3rd party certifying bodies to assure products are listed prior to launch

  • Issues Ship Hold Alerts when a product is found out of compliance

  • Carry out a root cause analysis when compliance issues are found

  • Document concerns brought to attention and respond to deviations requested

  • Ensures all product water usage values are reported to FTC, DOE, and CEC as required by Federal US law, on an annual basis.  Must also report to same regulatory bodies when models are introduced or discontinued.

  • Perform internal audit program to evaluate existing products against their current listing

  • Provides training and mentorship to Engineering personnel on standards and codes requirements affecting Masco Canada products (CSA, ASSE, ASME, IAPMO…)

  • Maintains compliance data in JDE and STEP

  • Liaison with cross functional departments and resolve their compliance inquires. 

 

Who You Are:

  • Experience with engineering documents, quality procedures, document control and manufacturing software (JDE)

  • Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills and be able to optimally connect with all departments at Masco Canada and Masco sister companies

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Ability to develop, read, comprehend, and analyze codes, standards, and technical data

  • Familiarity with Codes and Standards

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

  • Ideal candidate will possess a college diploma in Engineering or Quality and a minimum of 5 years technical experience in a manufacturing environment
