About the Role
Are you a talented Project Manager with a passion for managing complex cross-functional projects throughout the full life cycle? Kent & Essex Mutual is seeking to hire a Project Management Specialist, which is a new role to our progressive and dynamic team. RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role you will:
- Plan, manage, monitor, and close/handover large strategic and operational projects.
- Manage and report on scope, risks and issues, budget, and timelines.
- Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders and cross functional teams to ensure solutions meet timeline and business objectives.
- Ensure all project plans and tasks are clearly understood, assigned, and tracked.
- Complete all project documentation such as, charter, scope of project, allocation of resources etc.
- Provide support to department managers with prioritization and planning to ensure resources are available for the project.
- Engage in and communicate ideas for supporting the continuous improvement of processes.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Post-secondary education and/or equivalent experience.
- PMP certification considered an asset.
- 5+ years’ project management experience.
- 3-5 years’ experience with agile methodologies.
- 2-3 years’ integration experience.
- Experience working within IT and Business/Operational Units.
- Strong leadership, sound judgement, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience working with and leading cross functional business and technical teams that include a mix of in-house and external resources and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of P&C Insurance Industry an asset.
