JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION: Registered Nurse (Competition #2021-214)
LOCATION: Woodingford Lodge – Woodstock, Ingersoll and Tillsonburg
EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Permanent Part-time
REPORTING TO: Manager of Resident Services
UNION AFFLIATION: Non-Union
CURRENT SALARY
SCALE: $37.50 - $46.87 per hour
POSITION SUMMARY:
Directs and supervises nursing staff in providing health care to residents. Possesses the ability and the passion to support person centered care, and change the culture of aging in long term care. Plans, directs, supervises, and coordinates activities for the efficient and effective management of the nursing units and staff. In the absence of management staff (evenings, nights and weekends) the Registered Nurse provides supervision to the entire facility and all departments.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A Registered Nurse with a current license from the applicable licensing authority; current CPR certificate; demonstrated leadership ability with comprehensive knowledge of nursing and health care practices and techniques as they relate to long term care; maturity, empathy, patience and tact; seeks out opportunities to maintain competency and continued learning; basic computer skills.
In accordance to Ministry Guidelines in regards to Long Term Care Homes, the successful candidate will be required to commit to only being employed at Woodingford Lodge at this time, and proof of a negative COVID test is also required.
