SCHOOL SUPPORT COUNSELLOR
POSITION TITLE: School Support Counsellor
SALARY RANGE: $51,643 - $64,380 per year
DATE OF VACANCY: As soon as possible

POSITION SUMMARY: The School Support Counsellor will provide school-based prevention and intervention services in elementary or secondary schools to address social/emotional and behavioural barriers to learning. Incumbents will be assigned to a caseload at the elementary, secondary, or alternative school level.
The recruitment process requires a criminal background check for work with vulnerable persons.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE: Completion of a three (3) year Advanced Dimploma in Child and Youth Work or equivalent. A minimum of one (1) year experience providing counselling services to children or adolescents, and families.
