- Vari-Form Manufacturing Inc. is a leader in advanced tube hydroforming technology for the development and manufacture of products used by the automotive industry. Vari-Form Inc. has three facilities in Strathroy, Ontario.
THE POSITION
- Assist in implement policies and procedures in support of business strategies, and employment legislation.
- Possesses general knowledge of local, provincial, and federal safety, workers’ compensation, and employment and labour laws to ensure compliance.
- Perform full cycle recruitment including partner with managers to create job descriptions, job posting, screen and interview, selection, reference checks, employment offers.
- Perform the on-boarding and orientation for new hires through pre-hire communication, managing start dates and access to training, and the processing of new hire documentation.
- Assist in coordinating and administering employee training sessions.
- Support the HR department in implementing programs to help improve the employee experience
- Maintain employee and human resources files, as well as making updates to the systems and processes as required.
- Backup to the HR Administrators, and Benefits Administrator
- Assist in coordinating company social events.
- Administer various employee programs such as but not limited to uniforms, safety boots, badges, etc.
- Assist in promoting positive communications verbally, in writing and posted.
- Assist with reception duties.
- Comply with company policies and procedures supporting the quality management system, environmental management system, and health and safety.
- Other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU OFFER
- University Degree or College Diploma in Human Resources, or working towards
- 1-3 years’ experience in a human resource position, preferably in automotive manufacturing.
- Thorough knowledge of all applicable legislation
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
- Effective planning and time management skills
- Maintain confidentiality
- Proficient in Excel and Word
- Proficient in ADP Workforce Now (asset)
- Required to travel between local sites and requires own reliable transportation
