Appropriate work intensity level: Light Lifter: Ability to repetitively lift from 2 kg to 2.5 kg within a 12-hour shift. Heavy Lifter - Ability to repetitively lift 30 kg to 32 kg within a 12-hour shift. Based on lifting abilities, include: Light Lifter: · Attribute – inspect quality of product; maintain paperwork and record of findings; collect samples; perform temperature checks · Data Collector – perform testing during points in the process; enter data into KPI program · Inspection – inspect product for any foreign material and remove before further processing · Line Grader – check quality and integrity of cans; check air pressure, density and fill line · Rework – inspect visual appearance of cans nd clean up cans; dispose of defective · Scale house – coordinate gate operations; weigh trucks upon entry and exit, completing documentation · Slab Control – keep the slab clean and ensure birds, etc. are deterred from product · Tote Filler – control the flow of product into totes · Trim & Inspection – inspection of corn after husking and to remove defective product · Other duties as may be assigned Heavy Lifter: · Auto Cutter Service – maintain corn cutting area and keep cutters clean to prevent jamming · Cream style Technician - measure and mix ingredients, monitor starch maker, monitor flow of product and data recording · Multi-Equipment Operator (bobcat,dozer, forklift, telehandler )- transport raw materials, finished products and packaging materials throughout the plant and warehouse manually or with powered equipment · Cooker Greaser/Helper – oil and grease to prevent mechanical issues and maintain optimal performance; conduct discharge temperature checks; inspect can seams; address line jams and dispose of defective cans · Depalletizer – maintain the output of cans by operating depalletizing equipment · Fill Check – monitor appropriate filling of cans · Fill Operator – ensure stock of lids is provided to ensure continuous operation; address any line jams or incomplete installation of lids · Headwasher – clean, dissemble and re-assemble cutter heads; remove and clean knives, install knives, set apertures and tensions · IPS (in process sanitation) – clean inside and outside of area and equipment · Knife Sharpener – maintain quality and efficiency of cutting tools by cleaning, sharpening and buffing · Palletizer – maintain the input of cans by operating palletizing equipment · Pregrade – test incoming raw product per defined criteria; data recording of results · Pea Truck Unloader – monitor the unloading of product and ensure flow is continuous · Process Coordinator – assist process control and machine operators in performing their duties · Sanitation – cleaning and sanitizing equipment · Starch Attendant – operate starch mix system · Tote Dumper – monitor hopper levels, flow of product and control panels · Tote Maker – constructing totes to store product · Tunnel Tender – clean and rake product line; break product using appropriate tools · Wrapper – operate shrink wrapping equipment ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS OF THIS ROLE: - No previous skills necessary
- Experience working in food production or other manufacturing experience is considered an asset
- Must be capable of speaking, reading, and writing English at a Level 3 requirement
- Must be able to work in a temperate and/or refrigerated environment
- Must be able to work 12 hour shifts and follow a continental schedule
