Primary Responsibilities:
Our People and Culture Coordinator is an HR generalist and strategic business partner providing HR consultation and supporting a broad range of HR services. As an organizational culture champion, the Coordinator will play a key role in staff development and enhancing the employee experience at our Centre.
The Coordinator leads the Healthy Workplace Committee and the Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Committees, is the Centre’s Violence and Harassment Officer, and is a member of the Centre’s Operations Team.
This position works closely with the Finance Team, external benefit consultants/providers and legal counsel, is responsible for legislative and HR policy compliance, full cycle recruitment, HRIS, and supports compensation and performance management, training and professional development at our Centre.
What Do You Bring to the Position?
- Degree in Human Resources or other relevant education.
- A minimum of 3 years’ HR experience with CHRP designation preferred.
- Employee engagement experience with the demonstrated ability to influence and build relationships. Authentic organizational cultural champion demonstrating alignment with the Centre’s vision, mission, values, and model of care.
- Exceptional communication and facilitation skills.
- Working knowledge of Ontario legislation / common law and best practices.
- Vulnerable Sector Police Check is required as a condition of employment.
