Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid/remote role for a Senior Family Law Clerk with 5 years experience to join our Family Law practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Drafting sworn Form 13.1 and 13 Financial Statements and Statements of Net Worth
  • Drafting court orders
  • Coordinating and managing court attendances and filings
  • Prepare draft correspondence, affidavits, orders, pleadings, and other legal memorandum
  • Arrange for filing and service of documents, and affidavits of service
  • Requesting & managing third party records
  • Managing and scheduling court appearances

Qualifications and Skills

  • Graduate of a Law Clerk training program
  • 5 years of experience working as a family law clerk 
  • Solid understanding of the Family Law Rules and court procedures
  • Experience with software applications commonly used in law firms, including Divorcemate, Clio, Adobe, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent time management, organizational and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team within tight timelines
  • Ability to multi-task and take initiative
  • Excellent client service and strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Great attention to detail and ability to catch mistakes when proof reading
  • Strong interpersonal skills

Salary Range:

  • $70,000 - $90,000 CDN /year (depending on experience)
