WAREHOUSE OPERATOR/BACKUP MATERIAL HANDLER

Autotube Limited, a Tier 1 small parts manufacturing company with locations in Strathroy and Watford is looking for a Warehouse Operator/Backup Material Handler for their Strathroy location. The individual should have previous forklift experience. Although the position would primarily be required for the day shift 7:00am to 3:30pm, some weekend work and statutory holiday work may be required. Solid communication and computer skills are required for this position. The candidate will be able to pass the forklift training program and maintain a valid forklift license. The pay for this position is $15 per hour to start.
 
Areas of responsibility include the following:

• Operate a forklift safely according to industry standards
• Maintain the warehouse in a clean and organized manner.
• Empty water/snow off returnables containers before bringing into plant as needed.
• Assist shipper with shipping/receiving functions as needed throughout day.
• May perform machine operator functions during non-peak hours
• Cycle Counts as required each week
• Assist in moving coils from supplier skids to our racking system
• Receiving Inspections as required each week
• Garbage from bins throughout plant to be emptied outside daily
• Recycle bins brought to road weekly for pick up
• Assist in emptying steel scrap outside as required
• Sort returnables by colour as required, remove labels as requested
• Assist in returnable container counts as required and enter data into customer systems
• Supply returnable containers/raw material to production line as requested
• Be able to keep inside and outside of warehouse clean and orderly
• Will be required to perform all shipping and receiving functions during regular Shipper/Material Handler vacations and absences.
• Able to work in a team environment as well as independently
