Facilities Management Division requires a full-time Plumber to conduct skilled work associated with drainage and sanitary sewage systems, water systems, gas systems and other related areas. This includes building, installing, maintaining and repairing systems and equipment, as well as investigating complaints, identifying problems and determining action.  The Plumber will provide efficient and courteous service to customers and work collaboratively with co-workers.

Education:
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma (Grade 12)
- A valid Ontario Plumbing License
- A valid Ontario Water Works Association Certificate in Backflow Testing preferred

Experience:
-   5 years of practical plumbing experience required, preferably in an institutional setting

Skills & Expertise:
-   In depth understanding of tools, principles, materials and terminology associated with plumbing and related systems
-   Able to read and update blue prints/mechanical drawings in order to effectively execute repairs/installations of plumbing equipment and produce quick-sketch working diagrams 
-   Able to investigate, identify, analyze and resolve problems
-   Able to perform job functions under tight timelines and under pressure in emergency situations
-   Able to work in a team environment with minimal direction
-   Comprehensive oral and written English communication skills
-   Able to establish rapport with customers, managers and peers
-   Able to conduct heavy physical lifting, frequent prolonged standing/walking, pushing/pulling, or moving/lifting heavy equipment/supplies, and ladder work
-   Must have current driver's license
