Job Description
Our client, an industry leader in the design, engineering and manufacture of an array of products for the transportation industry, is currently searching for a Quality Engineer. The Quality Engineer will have good analytical, mathematics and measuring skills and good mechanical aptitude.
Duties include:
• Establish and maintain procedures to control, calibrate and maintain inspection, measuring and test equipment used to demonstrate the conformance of product to specified requirements
• Ensure all procedures conform to the TS 16949 standards
• Prepare and maintain inspection reports and records
• Assist in dimensional verification of sample and production parts as required
• Participate in APQP activities of new product launches, ensuring timing and expectations are met
• Prepare and submit PPAP documentation for customer approval
• Monitor plant FTQ, scrap and rework to identify trends requiring action
• Troubleshoot internal product and quality system issues, including the preparation of Quality Alerts and leading corrective action teams
Requirements:
• Engineering and/or Quality diploma or certificate
• Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) designation is an asset
• 3 years experience in an automotive tier 1 manufacturing environment
• Experience with Ford Quality an asset
