The Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph in Canada are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to fill a position vacancy as a: KINESIOLOGIST Contract Full or Reduced Full-Time Position (approx. 18 mos) Rate $31.88/hr Position Summary: Reporting to the Nursing Supervisor or designate, the Kinesiologist is responsible for coordinating, developing, and evaluating restorative and functional-ability programs for the Sisters residing in the Care Centre and the Main Residence. The Kinesiologist conducts assessments, identifies functional goals, and designs. Implements and evaluates individualized and group exercise and restorative programs that support mobility, strength, balance, independence, and overall well-being. The Kinesiologist provides one-on-one and group exercise programming and restorative support directly to the Sisters, ensuring that interventions reflect best practices in kinesiology and restorative care. The role offers clinical guidance, education, and ongoing program coordination and direction to the Restorative Care Aide and Nursing team. Collaboration with the Nursing Supervisor and Nursing Team is essential to monitor progress, adjust care plans, and respond to changes in functional status. The Kinesiologist upholds all health and safety standards, adheres to infection-prevention practices, and contributes to a safe, respectful, mission-aligned environment that promotes dignity, engagement, and optimal functioning for the Sisters.
