TEMPORARY LITERACY AND BASIC SKILLS INSTRUCTOR
 
The School of Adult, Alternative and Continuing Education requires Literacy and Basic Skills Instructors to deliver the Literacy and Basic Skills program to an adult population throughout the Thames Valley District School Board. This position involves working with adults in regular Literacy and Basic Skills programming.  The candidate must be willing to coordinate some activities and communicate regularly with Employment & Training and Ontario Works offices.

 
Qualifications: A minimum of an undergraduate university degree with excellent English grammar and writing skills, mathematics proficiency and computer knowledge are required. The successful candidate must have an awareness of the characteristics and needs of adult learners with lower literacy/numeracy skills. A numeracy and word processing assessment may be required for the candidates selected for an interview.

                       
START DATE:              September 2024 
RATE OF PAY:             $33.58 per hour plus 4% vacation pay
DEADLINE DATE:        August 8th, 2024
