Parkinson Society Southwestern Ontario is a trusted, community-based charitable organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life and care for people living with Parkinson’s across Southwestern Ontario. As a regional “home” for support, education, advocacy, and research, Parkinson Society Southwestern Ontario provides practical resources, connection, and guidance for individuals, families, and care partners navigating the Parkinson’s journey. Through support groups, education programs, community workshops, advocacy initiatives, and investment in research, the organization plays an important role in strengthening awareness, advancing care, and ensuring people impacted by Parkinson’s feel informed, supported, and connected close to home.

Prime Management Group Inc. is pleased to partner with Parkinson Society Southwestern Ontario in the recruitment of a purpose-driven, visionary, and partnership-oriented Chief Executive Officer. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, this accomplished executive will provide visionary and operational leadership, advance the organization’s priorities, and serve as Parkinson Society Southwestern Ontario’s primary ambassador and advocate. With a visible executive presence, this individual will be an effective communicator and trusted relationship-builder, with a leadership style grounded in integrity, accountability, sound judgment, and collaborative decision-making.

Working closely with the Board of Directors, the successful candidate will support effective governance, lead the development and implementation of the organization’s strategic plan, and translate mission and vision into measurable goals, programs, and outcomes. This includes providing leadership across organizational performance, policy development, risk management, compliance, and responsibility, while ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.

This resourceful leader will oversee day-to-day operations, programs, services, staff, financial stewardship, and internal systems to ensure Parkinson Society Southwestern Ontario has the structure and resources required to deliver on its mandate. The role also includes recruiting, developing, and retaining a high-performing senior leadership team, strengthening policies and procedures, and fostering a positive, inclusive, values-driven culture that supports staff engagement, strong organizational standards, and service excellence. A key priority will be embedding a data-informed approach across the organization, using insights and performance metrics to guide strategic decision-making, measure impact, and enhance program and operational effectiveness.

As Parkinson Society Southwestern Ontario continues to evolve, this forward-thinking executive will bring the strategic foresight and operational discipline required to identify emerging opportunities, assess risks and trends, manage change, and support organizational resilience. Working closely with the Board, staff, finance team, funders, donors, sponsors, partners, and community stakeholders, this leader will advance sound fiscal management, revenue diversification, grant development, fundraising, donor stewardship, partnerships, earned income where applicable, and long-term financial sustainability.

Externally, this influential ambassador will cultivate trusted relationships with community leaders, policymakers, healthcare and community organizations, philanthropic supporters, corporate partners, public funders, and other stakeholders. These relationships will be essential in promoting Parkinson Society Southwestern Ontario’s programs, services, and regional role, while supporting advocacy, public awareness, and meaningful engagement on issues affecting people living with Parkinson’s, their families, and care partners.

As a principled and resilient leader, the Chief Executive Officer will ensure Parkinson Society Southwestern Ontario remains responsive, well-positioned, and focused on delivering meaningful outcomes for people living with Parkinson’s, their families, care partners, and the broader Southwestern Ontario community.

Qualifications and Experience

The successful candidate will bring:

  • 7-10 years of senior leadership experience, preferably within a not-for-profit, charitable, healthcare, community-based, or mission-driven organization. A post-secondary degree in non-profit management, business, public administration, health administration, or a related field would be considered an asset.
  • Proven ability to lead strategy, operations, people, programs, organizational performance, and change within a complex service environment.
  • Experience working effectively with a governance Board, including strategic planning, Board reporting, committee support, policy development, and accountability.

  • A track record of building and sustaining relationships with funders, donors, community leaders, policymakers, healthcare and community partners, corporate supporters, philanthropic partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to recruit, develop, and retain high-performing teams while fostering a positive, inclusive, values-driven, and accountable organizational culture.
